Story Behind Freshcoat Innovations from the founder and ceo in her own words

The foundation of FreshCoat Innovations is rooted in a lifetime of hands-on experience and the profound legacy of my father. The decision to ultimately open the business came after his passing, driven by the realization that his work ethic and encouragement were the guiding forces I needed.

My father taught my three siblings and me everything we know about this industry. From a young age, he took us to job sites with him. Some days were tough, a raw look at the hard work of construction, and other days were smooth, showcasing the satisfaction of a job well done. He was tough on us sometimes, but he just wanted us to see the vision—to understand the process of transformation and to learn more than one skill. We traveled with him extensively, seeing projects firsthand, from nothing to something, across North Carolina, South Carolina, Atlanta, Mississippi, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and many more places.

He built a legacy of his own, completing numerous projects in the Raleigh and surrouding areas that you might recognize:

  • Renovating the Bank of America locations on Creedmoor Rd & Strickland Rd, and the one at Brier Creek.
  • The renovation of the Shoe Dept. Encore inside Triangle Town Center Mall.
  • The renovation of Carlie C’s in Garner (formerly Compare Foods).
  • The renovation of the El Toro Supermarket in Garner.
  • The Golden Corral building on Glenwood Ave.

For two years after his death, I struggled with the risk of launching my own business, especially as a woman entering a male-dominated field. But the weight of his legacy and the confidence he instilled in me pushed me forward. If he were here, he would insist I follow my ambitions and use the incredible knowledge he passed down.

My vision for FreshCoat Innovations became clear: to honor his work by bringing back together his trusted, personal crew—craftsmen who worked by his side for many years. By blending their decades of shared experience with new, dynamic members of the team, we are ensuring his standards of quality and professionalism continue.

I founded FreshCoat Innovations in Raleigh, NC, to continue that legacy bringing decades of family experience, professionalism, and integrity to the remodeling and renovation industry. Every project we undertake is a testament to his teachings and a fulfillment of the vision he wanted us to see. We present to you a team built on family values, expertise, and a commitment to redefining the remodeling and renovation industry
